Initiated by Let’s Talk conversations with other cities, the first group of Let’s Talk Phoenix reached out to fellow women chefs and owners to unleash the first collaborative tasting menu event in January 2021. Fifteen women-led kitchens participated in sharing five menus over three weeks with the Phoenix Metro area. Our collective reach from our client email lists, local news and food blog contacts, instagram, twitter and FB followers made for a wildly successful first venture. Arizona touts one of the largest percentages of women owned businesses in the U.S. Women led restaurants, bakeries, food trucks and caterers in Arizona are a force, and LTWR is just beginning to connect us together.
Members are invited by peers, whose experiences range from 30 years as restaurateurs to up and coming chefs to non-profit charitable organization leaders, from James Beard nominees, award winners and leadership program graduates to Zagat rated restauranteurs to AZ Culinary Hall of Fame inductees, from sustainably led business owners to vegan chef driven restaurants to local and foraged-ingredient focused chefs. With a vision of camaraderie, mentorship, business building, advertising and event creation, the Let’s Talk Women Restaurateurs AZ look forward to our next collaborative tasting menu program in March, Women’s History Month, and more in the future as we grow and build.
November’s Collaborative dinner will be hosted at The Farish House at 816 N 3rd St. in downtown Phoenix on Tuesday, November 9th at 6:30pm.
Enjoy a six course dinner with optional wine and sake pairings, two small plate dishes from three AZ Women in Food members: Nonna, The Cellar and The Farish House.
